Self-Guided Story Trail: Time to Sleep

Enjoy some crisp winter air while following a self-guided story trail based on the book “Time to Sleep.” Look for it along the 2.1-mile Black Bear Trail through December 28.

Campfire Open House

Join us for “snow” much winter fun! Toast marshmallows over a fire for s’mores, try your hand at feeding the chickadees and hit the trail for a self-guided game of Eye Spy. Afterward, stop inside the nature center to warm up at our hot chocolate bar and create a simple winter craft. Weather permitting, snowshoes may be available for loan.

Snow or not, there’s bound to be fun at Liberty Park! Toast a s’more over a fire, paint in the snow and try your hand at feeding the chickadees. Afterward, stop inside the nature center to warm up at our hot cocoa bar and create a simple winter craft. Weather permitting, snowshoes will be available for loan.

Martin Luther King Jr. continues to inspire communities with the work he did over half a century ago. In his honor we will be making seed balls with native, pollinator friendly plant species that can be planted during spring in areas lacking vegetation. Dress for a mess.
