PURCHASE SEASON PASSES (starting 4/1)

Enjoy lake swimming, May 29 to August 22, 2010, at Munroe Falls and Silver Creek. Both swim areas are open daily, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

During swim season, an admission fee or season pass is required to enter Munroe Falls Metro Park. At Silver Creek Metro Park, an admission fee or pass is required to enter the beach area.

Daily admission is $4 for adults and teens (ages 13 and older), $3 for children. Kids under 2 are admitted free. Age at time of purchase determines price.

Boat Rentals: Canoes are $6/hr, plus $2 for each additional hour, or $14/day. Pedal Boats are $3/half hour. Row Boats are $6/hr, plus $2 for each additional hour, or $14/day.

A $10 refundable deposit and valid driver's license are required. Munroe Falls Metro Park only has pedal boats.

Did You Know?

Gobble, Gobble
Turkeys are becoming a common, year-round sight in the Metro Parks. Males are called gobblers, females are hens. The young are called poults.

Courtney Park
The large boulder and plaque at the corner of Merriman Road and Portage Path in Akron is located on the former Courtney Park – the first land acquired by Metro Parks.
