How can I reserve a lodge or shelter?

If you visit the Lodges and Shelters pages, you'll see 360-degree tours of lodges and shelters, and you can check availability, amenities and prices. Once you're ready to make a reservation, please call the administrative offices at 330-867-5511, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Do you rent equipment for outdoor activities?

Visitors must bring their own equipment. During the summer swim season, canoes and paddle boats can be rented in two areas.

How can I hold an event in the Metro Parks?

A special-use permit may be required for certain activities. Click here to learn more about the special-use permit process.

What is the minimum age to reserve a shelter or lodge?

You must be 21 or older to make a reservation.

Do you allow alcohol at events held in the Metro Parks?

No, alcohol is not permitted in the Metro Parks.

Are pets allowed in your shelters or lodges?

Pets are not permitted in or near the lodges, shelters, fenced-in swim areas or picnic sites.

Do you offer refunds for reservations?

Once a reservation is paid for there are no refunds; however, if you need to cancel your event it must be two weeks prior to the reservation date. Those that cancel two weeks or more in advance will be offered one re-use, up to one year from the original reservation date, pending availability.

What is the available rental time frame for shelters and lodges?

Shelters and lodges may be reserved 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Arrival and departure times are strictly enforced.

Do we need to stay at the lodge the entire time of the rental?

A responsible adult must remain at the lodge once park staff has opened it.

Can we decorate the lodge or shelter for our event?

Decorations must be freestanding and not attached to the walls or features, and decorative candles may not be used inside/outside of the facility.

Can we remove tables or chairs from the building?

Tables, chairs or picnic tables may not be removed from the facility.
