Forestry Technician

Under the direction of the operations service manager, maintain and enhance park district lands and facilities by performing a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled arboriculture and maintenance tasks. Responsible for operating bucket trucks, aerial lifts, chainsaws, pole saws, pruning saws, chippers and other forestry related equipment/tools.

Mechanic – Small Engine

Perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on the park district’s fleet and equipment. Duties are diversified and require an extensive knowledge of mechanical/electrical repair procedures, and the use of judgment when analyzing facts and diagnosing problems. Responsible for providing excellent and consistent quality service through proper diagnosis, inspections, repairs, warranty/non-warranty evaluations, documentation, training staff and communication with staff and vendors.

Park Ranger

Serves as a Law Enforcement Commissioned Peace Officer enforcing State of Ohio laws (Ohio Revised Code,) and Park District rules and regulations. Protects life, property, and maintains good order within the parks. Patrols assigned areas for the purpose of assisting park patrons to have a safe and enjoyable park experience. Provides information, education, and assistance to park visitors to achieve safety, security and resource protection. Performs duties with tact, diplomacy, discretion, respect, and impartiality.  

Park Technician I

Under the direction of the park manager, perform all duties necessary for the daily maintenance of park properties, areas, buildings and facilities, and help with the construction of certain park improvement projects.

Maintenance Worker

Park maintenance worker maintains and enhances park district’s lands and facilities by performing unskilled and semi-skilled jobs in a manner which assures the highest standard of maintenance, safety and service to the public.

Service Center Maintenance

Tackle a diverse range of hands-on projects, from roadway and trail upkeep to landscape beautification and building maintenance. Contribute to creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for our community by assisting with everything from routine maintenance and preventative care to special events and activities.
