Summit Metro Parks manages 14,100 acres and 125 miles of trails. Funded by a Summit County real-estate tax, Summit Metro Parks offers dozens of free programs each month and four seasons of outdoor fun.
Founded in 1921, Summit Metro Parks is the second oldest park district in Ohio. District-wide attendance averages 5 million visits. Each year more than 30,000 visitors enjoy hikes and programs led by naturalists. Park rangers protect resources, maintain good order and ensure visitor safety.
