Apply sunscreen and join us on Summit Lake! Presented by the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition and Summit Metro Parks, Summit Lake Float offers a morning of free kayaking and canoeing, followed by afternoon pontoon boat rides. That’s not all the floating we’ll do — root beer floats will be available while supplies last. Advance registration is required and begins 6/1.

For kayaking activities with Summit Metro Parks:
- All tickets purchased are for participants who are 13 or older and can swim.
- Participants ages 13 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is participating in the program.
- Participants will ARRIVE 15 minutes in advance of the program to complete waivers and receive safety instructions.
- Participants are required to use Summit Metro Parks equipment during this program (including personal flotation devices).
- Participants must wear closed-toe shoes, be able to swim, and are encouraged to bring sun protection.
- The manufacturer’s recommended weight limit per kayak is 250 pounds.
- Program start time is subject to change based on weather and water conditions. This program will not be rescheduled.
- Participation in this event grants Summit Metro Parks and Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition the right to use any image taken during events in any publications, website, advertisements, or on their Facebook page.
- All sales are final.
For canoeing activities with Ohio & Erie Canalway:
- All tickets purchased are for participants who are 6 or older and can swim.
- Participants ages 6 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is participating in the program with them.
- Participants will ARRIVE 15 minutes in advance of the program to complete waivers and receive safety instructions.
- Participants are also required to use Ohio & Erie Canalway equipment during this program (including personal flotation devices).
- Participants must wear closed-toe shoes, be able to swim, and are encouraged to bring sun protection.
- Participants who register for one ticket will be paired with another participant or with a Team Member in a 2-person or 3-person canoe.
- The manufacturer’s recommended weight limit per 2-to-3 person canoe is 800-1,200 pounds.
- Program start time is subject to change based on weather and water conditions. This program will not be rescheduled.
- Participation in this event grants Summit Metro Parks and Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition the right to use any image taken during events in any publications, website, advertisements, or on their Facebook page.

Welcome to fishing for all ages! Youth ages 15 and younger can learn the basics of fishing, then drop a line and see what they can catch! Some rods and reels will be available for use.
