Summit Lake Float

Apply sunscreen and join us on Summit Lake! Presented by the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition and Summit Metro Parks, Summit Lake Float offers a morning of free kayaking and canoeing, followed by afternoon pontoon boat rides. That’s not all the floating we’ll do — root beer floats will be available while supplies last. Advance registration is required and begins 6/1.

Waiver Agreement

I am fully advised and agree to the following:

  • All tickets purchased are for participants who are 13 or older and can swim.
  • Participants ages 13 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is participating in the program.
  • Participants will ARRIVE 15 minutes in advance of the program to complete waivers and receive safety instructions.
  • Participants are also required to use Summit Metro Parks equipment during this program (including personal flotation devices).
  • Participants must wear closed-toe shoes, be able to swim, and are encouraged to bring sun protection.
  • The manufacturer’s recommended weight limit per kayak is 250 pounds.
  • Location, date, and time subject to change based on water conditions.
  • All sales are final.

    Practiced participants will review international-style target archery principles and test their marksmanship through a variety of fun and challenging shooting games. All equipment and hands-on instruction provided. Must be 9 years old and 50 inches or taller. Previous archery experience preferred. Cost: $10/person. Registration is required and begins on 3/1. All sales are final.

    Young Birders: Warblin’ Warblers

    Kids ages 8 and up are invited to join us and learn about the commotion in the tree canopy through a short presentation and warbler walk. An adult companion is required to remain for the entirety of the program.
