Join a naturalist on a steep but beautiful hike of the 1.2-mile Oxbow Trail along the Cuyahoga River. As we hike, we will discuss which wildlife call this waterway home and explore the importance of rivers in human history and local biodiversity.
Children ages 3 to 6 and their adult companions will learn about black bears, beloved animals native to Ohio. A craft and game are part of the program. Please make other arrangements for younger children unable to remain in infant seats or strollers. Registration is required and begins on 6/5.
Discover the world of insect subterfuge. Plenty of insects engage in mimicry but none quite like the firefly. Join a naturalist on a catch and release mission to crack the code of these cunning insects.
Join a naturalist for a bug-tastic story time! Afterwards, we will hit the trail to hunt for insects. Bug jars and nets will be provided first-come, first-served. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
