VITAL NATURE CONNECTIONS: WHAT LIVES IN THE STREAM


As part of the Vital Nature Connections series, join a naturalist to learn what lives in a stream. See how everything in nature is connected, from the smallest macroinvertebrates to the largest mammal. We will be joined by a conservation biologist as we use an electroshocking technique to survey for indicator species of fish that live in Pond Brook. Paddle with a certified instructor and a naturalist to learn paddle strokes, safety and to see wildlife around the water. Minimum age is 13; ages 13 to 17 must be with an adult participant. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and be able to swim. We suggest bringing water, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses and wearing clothes that can get wet. Paddle with a certified instructor and a naturalist to learn paddle strokes, safety and to see wildlife around the water. Minimum age is 13; ages 13 to 17 must be with an adult participant. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and be able to swim. We suggest bringing water, sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses and wearing clothes that can get wet.
