Discover one of the joys of winter: snowshoeing! Learn its history and basics, try out equipment and, weather permitting, enjoy a walk through the snowy surrounding landscapes. Perfect for beginners and experienced adventurers alike, this fun, family-friendly event celebrates the beauty and exploration of the season.

    Intro to BMX

    Ages 12 to 25: Join us in collaboration with South Street Ministries for an introduction to the sport of BMX. We will focus on foundational skills such as bike handling, balance, braking and basic maneuvers. BMX style bikes and helmets will be provided for use during this program.

    Drop in to Summit Lake Nature Center to celebrate the reintroduction of Ohio’s living fossil, the lake sturgeon. Explore the lake sturgeon’s life, past and possible future. Stick around for a sturgeon-themed game and make your own paper sturgeon to take home.

    Intro to Stand-Up Paddleboarding

    Learn how to paddleboard and take a guided tour around the lake with a certified instructor. Minimum age is 13; ages 13 to 17 must be with an adult participant.
