Children ages 3 to 6 and their adult companion will learn about the incredible lives of woodpeckers through a story, craft and outdoor activity. Please make arrangements for younger children unable to remain in infant seats and strollers. Registration is required and begins 10/29.
Join a naturalist for a quiet evening hike along the 1.4-mile Quarry Trail in search of owls beneath the light of a full moon. Learn some common owl calls, how they are adapted to nighttime life and how to safely spot them. Bring a small flashlight if you wish.
Appreciate the outdoors at a leisurely pace with a stroll to look for woodpeckers and other fall wildlife along portions of Downy Loop Trail. Enjoy a warm beverage and more nature conversation afterward.
