Join a naturalist to learn how to start beautiful, beneficial native plants from seed, including collection, storage and propagation, then get hands-on as we collect seeds as a group. You will go home with some of your bounty!
Join a naturalist to hike and bird along the 2-mile Meadow Trail. Along the way, we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for spring migrants and other wildlife. Bring binoculars. Extras will be available first-come, first-served basis.
It’s turtle time! Children ages 3 to 6 and their adult companions can learn about our scaly, shelled friends through a story, craft and more. Please make other arrangements for younger children unable to remain in infant seats or strollers. Registration is required and begins on 5/7.
Homeschoolers ages 7 to 12 will learn about freshwater lakes and the creatures that call them home, how to protect and enjoy these aquatic habitats, and the basics of fishing before trying it out. All equipment will be provided. Dress for a mess. Registration is required and begins on 5/8.
