Appreciate nature’s seasonal transition at a leisurely pace with a stroll along the 1.4-mile Old Mill Trail. Enjoy a beverage and nature conversation afterward.

Walk in the Woods

Hike with a naturalist on the 0.9-mile Fernwood Loop to check a trail off your Fall Hiking Spree form. As we walk, we will explore the hidden complexities of forest habitats and search for signs of wildlife.

Sunset Spree Hike

Learn about this year’s Fall Hiking Spree sustainability theme and enjoy the setting sun with a 2.8-mile round trip from Summit Lake Nature Center to the Wilbeth Trailhead and back.

Enjoy the fall weather with a walk along the 1.1-mile Redwing Trail to look for migrating warblers.

Twilight Bat Hike

Hike the 1.2-mile Pheasant Run Trail as the sun sets to hopefully observe bats and learn about the amazing ways they support healthy ecosystems and humans. Please bring a flashlight. The hike will begin by the Lake House parking lot.
