Summer Nature Tales

Young children and their adult companions can join a naturalist in an interactive story time to explore what’s happening in nature as summer comes to an end. Make it a fun, family-friendly morning by exploring the park or visiting the nature play area after the program.

    Homeschoolers ages 7 to 12 will learn about freshwater lakes and the creatures that call them home, how to protect and enjoy these aquatic habitats, and the basics of fishing before trying it out. All equipment will be provided. Dress for a mess. Registration is required and begins on 5/8.

    Calling all people with yards or green spaces big and small: Join us for this monthly series and learn how to re-wild your home landscape. This month we’ll talk about habitat structure. From supporting nesting sites to incorporating soft landings, we’ll discover how to intentionally make your home landscape a nursery for wildlife.
