Moth Night

June 13 @ 9:30 pm11:30 pm

| DLQ/Quarry Trail

Join a naturalist to discover the diversity and beauty of our local moths. While butterflies often steal the spotlight, you’ll be amazed by the wide range of colors, sizes and shapes found in these underappreciated lepidopterans. Learn to identify different types of moths, including pug, slug, dagger, silk and sphinx moths. You’ll also find out what a moth garden is and why it’s beneficial. Bug spray is recommended, along with a flashlight and camera if you’d like to take photos.
