Macroinvertebrates: More Than Meets the Eye

There’s more beneath the surface than meets the eye. Hiding in streams under rocks and in the sediment, macroinvertebrates make their homes. A vital part of the stream ecosystem, they can also help us determine the quality of the water. Join us in partnership with Summit Soil and Water Conservation District to learn more about the amazing biodiversity of macroinvertebrates and how these tiny insects can help us study streams.

    Drawing Outdoors

    Bring your drawing pad and pencils for an outdoor lesson in drawing. Beginners are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. Portable chairs and drinking water are recommended. Program will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
  • June 11 @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am

    Kinderealm: Bears

    Children ages 3 to 6 and their adult companions will learn about black bears, beloved animals native to Ohio. A craft and game are part of the program. Please make other arrangements for younger children unable to remain in infant seats or strollers. Registration is required and begins on 6/5.
