Homeschoolers: Sappy Nature

Maple sap provides some of nature’s sweetest treats. Homeschoolers ages 7 to 12 are invited to join us on a fun adventure to learn about maple trees and the amazing science and history of the maple sugaring process that dates back to Indigenous Peoples. Registration is required and begins 1/1.

Waiver Agreement

I am fully advised, aware and agree to the following:

  • Children who would like to participate in the homeschool program must be dropped off and picked up by a legal guardian or appointed caretaker. Children must be signed in upon arrival to the program, before they can depart.
  • Parents must pick up their children immediately at the end of the program.
  • Participants MUST arrive 10 minutes prior to program start time for waiver review and completion. FAILURE TO ARRIVE 10 minutes in advance for waiver completion will result in the inability to participate.
  • I understand the minimum age requirement is 7 years old.

    Children ages 3 to 6 and their adult companions will learn how the small acorn plays a mighty role in our forests through stories, crafts and outdoor activities. Please make arrangements for younger children unable to remain in infant seats and strollers. Registration is required and begins 10/1.

    Appreciate the flora and fauna of autumn at a leisurely pace with a stroll along the 1.6-mile Buttonbush Trail. Enjoy a beverage and nature conversation afterward.
