    Dancing Conversation: Creative Process in Nature

    NCCAkron Executive/Artistic Director Christy Bolingbroke will facilitate a discussion with four artists around incorporating nature as a part of their creative process. Akron-based artists will include Choreographer Dominic Moore-Dunson and his work Black by Nature, Saxophonist Chris Coles and Wildlife Specialist Monika ‘Bell’ Bowman and their project AVIMANCY. Dancing Conversations highlight how dance and the arts touch everyday life.

    Music in the Park: Season Kick-Off

    Celebrate the beginning of the summer concert season with a performance by the Metro Parks Ensemble. Please bring your own chairs and blankets, and a picnic if you prefer. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held indoors.

    Concert at Liberty Park: Western Reserve Big Band

    Bring your chair or blanket and swing into the night with the Western Reserve Big Band! Join us for an evening of toe-tapping rhythms as this local 20-piece ensemble transports you back to the golden age of jazz and swing. Popcorn and lemonade will be provided. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved into the shelter.
