Good Garden Talks: Plant Native Trees

    Kids in the Garden

    Join us in collaboration with Let’s Grow Akron for weekly hands-on gardening activities for children of all ages. Seed, sow, water, harvest…and enjoy! Each week we’ll have a game or craft, garden activity and a snack themed around what is growing and ready to harvest in the garden. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held indoors.

    Howl-O-Ween at the Moon

    Join a naturalist at dusk to discover some of the park’s most elusive and misunderstood residents: coyotes. After a short presentation, take a quiet stroll along the trail to call for these creatures in hopes they will respond.

    Fine in the Pines Hike

    Learn about the value of pines and several other tree species found along the 2-mile Piney Woods Trail. We’ll also talk about wildlife typically found here and highlights of this park’s history.
