Photography in the Metro Parks With beautiful scenes around every corner, Summit Metro Parks encourages the use of personal cameras, provided the photography does not interfere with park operations and visitation. Amateur photographers are invited to submit their photos for a photography exhibit displayed in the F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm from January to May of each year. SUGGESTED photography Locations Summit Metro Parks offers a variety of beautiful settings for photo sessions. Some particularly scenic locations include: CASCADE VALLEY METRO PARK CASCADE VALLEY METRO PARK Oxbow Area - Near the river in the picnic area Chuckery Area - Signal Tree Schumacher Area - The first foot bridge at the start of the trail and also the valley area Overlook Trail - Near the Sackett Avenue parking lot, there's a fence and wildflowers in spring and summer DEEP LOCK QUARRY METRO PARK DEEP LOCK QUARRY Quarry rim bottom, near the memorial bench Paved trail just off parking lot with woods as background FIRESTONE METRO PARK FIRESTONE METRO PARK Intersection of Redwing Trail and Tuscawarus Meadows field Coventry Oaks Area - Lawn with wooded background near parking lot east of the building FURNACE RUN METRO PARK FURNACE RUN METRO PARK In the area of Brushwood Lake GORGE METRO PARK GORGE METRO PARK Main Entrance - The observation deck at the dam MUNROE FALLS METRO PARK MUNROE FALLS METRO PARK Shady Beach Shelter Area Observation deck near the Bike & Hike Trail at Brust Park Tallmadge Meadows Area SAND RUN METRO PARK SAND RUN METRO PARK Bridge on Mingo Trail, accessible from Sand Run Parkway, with stream and woods as background Lone Spruce Area lawn with wooded hill as background SILVER CREEK METRO PARK SILVER CREEK Metro Park Lake area in front of the boat house SPRINGFIELD BOG METRO PARK SPRINGFIELD BOG METRO PARK In late summer, this park features a prairie filled with vibrant wildflowers with a split-rail fence along part of trail. Photography Guidelines: Summit Metro Parks does not permit the use of its name, image or logo for commercial purposes without prior approval. Arrangements to film, tape, record, photograph or create artistic renderings or displays must be made in advance by submitting a Special-Use Permit. Please note that group photography, professional photography and photography for commercial purposes are prohibited at F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm. Professional photography sessions for weddings and other special occasions are welcomed at all other parks, with an approved Special-Use Permit.
