St. Rt. 91 bridge work prompts Bike & Hike Trail detours in Munroe Falls

A trail surrounded by green grass and trees

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will close the St Rt 91 Bridge in Munroe Falls for repairs from June 17 to October 15.

The Bike & Hike Trail Brust Park/St Rt 91 parking lot (130 N. Main St., Munroe Falls) will remain open. During construction, the Bike & Hike Trail traffic will be rerouted to cross St Rt 91 instead of crossing under the bridge. Visitors should follow detour signage posted on the trail.

The Cuyahoga River at this location is designated a Water Trail by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Canoe traffic on the Cuyahoga River will be maintained at all times, except for temporary river closures that include activities such as bridge deck removal, constructing falsework and pouring the new concrete deck, and utility relocations on the bridge. Temporary fencing will be placed to protect the park and Bike & Hike Trail.
