Maple Leaf Gifts, the park district’s gift shop, will be onsite with items available for purchase (credit cards only).
Summit Metro Parks (SMP) is proud to host the 2026 Mother’s Day 5K as a limited-waste event. All park district-provided items will be compostable, including water cups, packaging, food, food-safe gloves and greenery. Composting is made possible by Rubber City Reuse. Recyclable race bibs and chip timers will be collected by the park district to be distributed to the appropriate recycling locations. Participants are encouraged to help by carpooling and bringing a reusable water bottle to the event. Those who bring a reusable water bottle can receive a Mother’s Day 5K weatherproof sticker.
The Summit Metro Parks Foundation is grateful for the support of sponsors who help make the Mother’s Day 5k possible. The event is presented by Buckingham, with support from Acme Fresh Market and Wayside Furniture.
