Homeschoolers ages 7 to 12: Join a naturalist to learn about the importance of freshwater habitats and the life within them. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet. Registration is required and begins on 3/1.

Waiver Agreement

I am fully advised, aware and agree to the following:

  • Children who would like to participate in the homeschool program must be dropped off and picked up by a legal guardian or appointed caretaker. Children must be signed in upon arrival to the program, before they can depart.
  • Parents must pick up their children immediately at the end of the program.
  • Participants MUST arrive 10 minutes prior to program start time for waiver review and completion. FAILURE TO ARRIVE 10 minutes in advance for waiver completion will result in the inability to participate.
  • I understand the minimum age requirement is 7 years old.

    Dive Into Vernal Pools

    Come take a deep dive into vernal pool ecology as we explore what makes these temporary habitats perfect breeding grounds for amphibians, insects and more. We will also discuss the important role they play in forest ecosystems and how they may be facing an uncertain future. After the presentation, we will take a short walk to see them in action.
