DESCRIPTION:Join naturalists for a guided birding tour of Liberty Park\, one of the park district’s two Audubon Important Bird Areas. Designed for both new and experienced birders\, this day-long outing begins at the Pond Brook Conservation Area before continuing to Black Bear Trail (Twinsburg Ledges Area). Bring a lunch and enjoy a break at the nature center with time to review the morning’s sightings\, then head to Seven Ponds Trail (Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve) and conclude at Tinkers Creek State Park. Bird lists and binoculars will be provided. Participants provide their own transportation; optional carpooling is encouraged. Be prepared for hiking on natural-surface trails. Restrooms are available at three of the four stops. \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us in collaboration with Let’s Grow Akron to swap plants! These can be cuttings from plants in your yard or freshly grown from seed. Plants should be labeled by name and contained in pots. Vegetables\, herbs and native plants are preferred\, but all plants are welcome. All are encouraged to attend\, even without plants to share. Meet in the Community Garden. In the event of inclement weather\, the program will be held inside Goodyear Heights Lodge.
