Efforts like STOMP keep the parks viable for future generations.

Citizens for Metro Parks

This political action committee assures the long-term viability of the park district through fund-raising efforts and the passage of tax levies.

Metro Parks relies on one property tax to fund programs like the popular Fall Hiking Spree, as well as maintenance, operating costs, capital projects and land acquisition.

STOMP Bicycle Adventure
The annual STOMP Bicycle Adventure offers participants breakfast, lunch, live music and more. The event, always held the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, begins and ends in the heart of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Proceeds benefit Metro Parks, Serving Summit County.

In 1993, STOMP (the Summit Tour of Metro Parks) started with a small group of riders and volunteers. With help from community sponsors, STOMP has become one of the largest cycling events in Northeast Ohio.
