Hiking Form | Trail Surfaces

Hikers on foot and those with strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and canes enjoy flat, easy trails during this award-winning hiking series, May 1 through June 30.

To receive FREE rewards*, complete five hikes – on five different trails, the same trail or any combination of trails – and submit a completed hiking form. Hikes are FREE for all participants.

A first-year hiker earns a neck lanyard and commemorative pin (pictured at left). A veteran hiker earns the commemorative pin. *Out-of-county residents pay to receive their rewards ($10 for first-year hikers, $5 for veteran hikers).

Additional hiking forms are available at the visitors center at F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm, the park district's administrative offices and all Acme Fresh Market stores.

For more information, call 330-865-8065.

Commemorative Pins
More than 28,000 Spree For All rewards have been earned since 2004. Including 2015, there have been 12 pin designs.

Did You Know?

Wormy Wood
American chestnut used to be one of the dominate species in our forests. In the early 1900s, a fungus nearly wiped out the species. Lumber, called wormy chestnut, was harvested from those dying trees.

Slippery Sticks
Slippery elm trees are named for their inner bark, which is moist and slippery. American Indians used the bark to reduce swelling and take the venom out of a bite or sting. It is still used today to make throat lozenges.
