2009 Fall Hiking Spree

Hiking Form | Audio Tours

Experience the autumn beauty of your Metro Parks, September 1 through November 30. First-time participants who complete eight or more trails receive a staff and hiking shield. Veteran hikers earn the shield.*

To receive your award in person:
A) Bring completed forms to the administrative offices, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, through March 31, 2010.
B) The offices will also be open Saturdays, November 7 and December 5, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
C) You may visit the Goodyear Heights Info Post noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, through November 30, 2009 (Summit County residents only).

To receive your award by mail:
Veteran hikers may mail their completed forms to the administrative offices, 975 Treaty Line Rd., Akron, 44313. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Hiking shields are mailed flat. Awards are not available after March 31, 2010.

Additional hiking forms are available at all Acme Fresh Market stores. For more information, call 330-865-8065.

*Since the program is funded by Summit County tax dollars, out-of-county residents pay to receive their hiking rewards ($10 for first-year hikers, $5 for veteran hikers).
