HEAT UP THE NIGHT
Warm up on this cold winter's eve while hiking with Naturalist Mike Greene on the 1.2-mile Pheasant Run Trail, and discover how animals are equipped to handle freezing temperatures and life in the dark. After the hike, get toasty around the campfire. Marshmallows will be provided for roasting, while supplies last. SC/Pheasant Run

Did You Know?

Gobble, Gobble
Turkeys are becoming a common, year-round sight in the Metro Parks. Males are called gobblers, females are hens. The young are called poults.

Snake 'n Bake
Snakes can often be seen basking in the sun on the Bike & Hike and Towpath trails. The warm surfaces raise their body temperatures.
